Compassionate and Competent Care

At Resurrected Hope Therapy, I bring in evidence-based practices, as well as deep empathy and compassion, to support emotional growth, well-being, and healing from trauma. I also have additional training that allows me to help treat unwanted sexual behaviors and their effects, such as compulsive sexual behaviors, love addiction, and betrayal trauma.

About Katelynn

You deserve a space to be seen, heard, and understood.

Stepping into therapy can give you the opportunity to have that experience. I seek to understand what stories my clients are carrying, help them explore where shame and trauma have impacted them, and discover a new way of being in the world. If you feel stuck in shame from toxic religious systems, trapped in unhealthy relationship patterns, or burdened by the pain of trauma in your body, I want to come alongside you as you step into healing. My approach to therapy blends compassion and direction, working to move you into a place of healing and freedom. Maybe even a place of hope.

I have my Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting, two modalities of trauma healing and recovery focused on helping regulate your nervous system. In addition, I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) , with advanced training in addressing unwanted sexual behavior, pornography use, betrayal trauma, and love addiction. I work with teens and adults, seeking to provide a space that allows people to be unfiltered and let it all hang out. I am capable of bringing in a Christian perspective into therapy, should a client desire. Outside of work, I'm a proud cat mom and enjoy staying active in (almost) any way.

Collaboration

Working Together to Pursue Change

Just because I have the degrees doesn't change the fact that you are the expert on your experience. In our first session, my goal is to understand where you're coming from. We'll work together to create a treatment plan that pursues the goals that you want to achieve through our work together.

Direction

More Than Just Venting

Coming into therapy, you want more than a paid friend. You want someone who's going to bring their expertise and skill in order to promote change. I'm not afraid to (kindly) challenge clients in order to help them move where they want to go.

Transformation

Moving Toward a New Life

While I can't promise a "quick fix" in therapy, we want to see things change. The goal of therapy is to help you take steps to build (or rebuild) the life you want to live. I want to empower you to walk into the world with purpose, passion, and hope.
