About
Hey there! I'm Katelynn, the person behind Resurrected Hope Therapy. The idea of "resurrected hope" was birthed from a song that I'm pretty sure you can't find anywhere anymore, and it struck me as poignant and fitting. For many of us, hope has died--whether through the pain of trauma, the challenge of addiction, or the tragedy of loss. I strive for therapy to be a place where hope can be reborn and people find the courage to pursue a life worth living.
Long before I was a therapist, I was a human--a human walking their own journey of mental health and growth. As life would have it, my passions and God-given gifts converged in the field of therapy. Since then, I've fallen in love with both the science and art of therapy. I love meeting people where they are and having the privilege of walking alongside them through some of their journey.
I have my Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting, two therapies focusing on the somatic and cognitive elements of trauma healing and recovery. In addition, I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) candidate, with advanced training in addressing unwanted sexual behavior, pornography use, betrayal trauma, and sex/love addiction. I am capable of bringing in a Christian perspective into therapy, should a client desire.
